You are showering in the communal block. It is a large-ish square room with the showerheads set into 3 of the walls. The entrance to the shower block is in the centre of the unused fourth wall. The question is thus: while cleansing yourself, do you face the wall, or the centre of the room?

Before answering, consider the ramifications. Facing the centre of the room is likely to facilitate eye-to-eye or even eye-to-genital contact. Worse, what about if you catch the glances of Mike 'Shirley' Cousins and Barry Tailor (aka Eccles Cake) as they pass through the entryway, and single you out as the object of their affections for the next hour? The alternative being, however, that you face the wall; where something awful might get slipped up you without warning (Eccles Cake has a very delicate step, in an ironic contrast with his sexual practices).

A third option is to spin on the spot. But as far as I'm concerned that's a health and safety hazard in this environment.
