what's it like to live in? How easy is it to get to central london from there - bus routes etc?
ho oho ho!
im kinda worried its too far from the strand though. and I don't know whether they'd like, hold it for us till july.
but maybe the demand for 7 bedroomed property isn't that high and no one will want it till we need it and and and.
One of London's most famous nudist public baths, Rio's, is in Kentish Town.
In 1912 the Church of St. Silas the Martyr was finally erected and consecrated, and by December of that year it became a parish in its own right. It can still be seen today along with the church of St Luke with St Paul and the Church of St. Barnabas (handed over to the Greek Orthodox Church in 1957).
Kentish Town is first recorded during the reign of King John (1208) as kentisston. By 1456 Kentish Town was recognised as a thriving hamlet, and in this period a chapel of ease is recorded as being built for the inhabitants.
so easy access to Central London by and large. Also got London Overground (Richmond to Stratford Line) and First Capital Connect (to St Pancras and the City and London Bridge etc). 134 and 214 are the main bus routes.
What it's like? Bit of a dump to be honest.
near some nice stuff, but as simonom says it's full of muggers and chavs.
everywhere is full of muggers and chavs in comparison.
have you still got that bike?
i'm there right now to eat a stew. kentish town and wembley are both cack. vikram seems to be suggesting it's nearer chalk farm (is it adelaide road sort of place?) which would be max.
yeah i've got two. they're both busted now. vie de merde man.
and it looks like that.
i don't know why people look for houses now anyway. august is the best time, no students looking for places then.
and you got the for um and some greasy cafes.
I liked it
it's practically Camden really, but cheaper. I'd live there.
it's probably great. YOU CAN GO TO THE FORUM FOR ATP GIGS EVERY NIGHT.
at missing lightning bolt by minutes, and seeing the last 30 seconds of dracula mountain being played from the balcony.
But yeah, I imagine it's kinda similar to where I live atm. In fact, there's a bus which would take you almost right to me.
Living in zone 2 is pretty much 'central' these days, I'd say. I can get to the other side of London for work in 30 mins, door to door. If that's not central, I dunno what is.
Also, looking for houses now is silly in london. Ain't like a student town where they let you pay a retainer over summer. Start looking in July/August.
Its got some good greasy spoons
One of my friends live in that area, and hasnt had any major problems
It's got some of the most deprived parts of the borough of Camden but some nice bits too.
