I am moving to America in the Summer, possibly forever. I'm going to be living in Austin, TX which is a pretty awesome place to be.

However, although it is a very musically active city it doesn't seem to have anything of a network for those into music or musicians etc other than craigslist which sucks. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm talking specifically about a community/boards based website rather than a full music site. There's not a decent one I could find for Austin or the US on the whole.

DiS pretty much makes finding out about stuff going on in the UK rather easy and you can find interesting DIY nights by DiSsers that you wouldn't find anywhere else unless you looked super hard. I know I could you scour the net for hours for this stuff but it's just not the same.

OR are there American DiSsers on here already and they can start posting more pls?
