hi again, i'll try and keep it concise, no-one likes a show off:
there are more dogs than people in sri lanka. there is only, it would seem, 1 breed of dog. it's about the size of a small black labrador but looks like an alsation with short hair. the only difference between the dogs is their colour. smug dog owners have nothing to talk about in sri lanka.
there is still a LOT of debris from "the tsunami", which was 4 years ago. sad.
we went up a massive rock, saw some ancient cities and saw lots of buddhas. this link sums them up brilliantly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCD4rtcOgHE
Kandy - nice name, shame about the place.
the Tamil Tigers used a Spitfire to drop a bomb while i was there. a Spitfire. worlds worst army?
best thing a Sri Lankan said to me: "so you're from England? where abouts? Liverpool? Hatton Garden?"
the army have LOADS of teenagers with massive machine guns everywhere.
i only saw one tiny snake.
the army checkpoints are sponspored by a mobile phone company.
Dominic Cork is a commentator on their tv cricket coverage.
