I don't care.
how was your's? talk to me.
The weekend stops here.
I had the flat to myself, so I had a wee with the bathroom door open. Liberating experience.
He's dead, he doesn't need them.
But I know that, deep down, you're just a bizzy fuzzy-wuzzy cuddle bear who spent all of his weekend fretting about the fortunes of DiS users. Particulalry Bamnan.
Mine was average: Chelsea were shit but won, Pirri Pirri pizza isn't great but I wasn't hungry afterwards and The Mist was a decent idea but had no real story.
That was good!
it was alright / a bit boring / alright / a bit shit / alright or something.
Highlight was going to see Josie Long live last night and eating bangers and mash. She was very funny indeed and they were very tasty indeed.
but not exactly productive.
I went to the pub on Saturday night and watched a pre-op transexual dance so much that her butt plug fell out of her trousers and onto the floor. Amazing. Played a gig last night and saw the worst band EVER (www.myspace.com/acidelictheband). Met some nice people who filmed our set for a documentary. I hope it's EXACTLY like The Devil And Daniel Johnston. Thanks for asking how my weekend was, Royter.
That wasn't intentional by the way. It was really more of a one post '...' rather than a 7-poster.
Should have done more work though, but meh.
i've had worse too. probably had slightly more better than worse.
but hey, thanks for asking :-)
- not moving into my proper flat on friday as expected
- walking out of Carmen half way through on Saturday due to sheer boredom
- not getting a roast dinner yesterday due to first point above
it was actually ace, thanks.
Nothing special. Just. Alright.
Darren. He's fine.
we haven't even had the first yet!
I was basically lying, wasn't I?
O MY B
It's not his real name
Played Left 4 Dead and Stranglehold = win. Then met up with most of the family to discuss South Africa trip.
My cousin is getting married there, then we've got a 2 week family holiday! My first proper one in about 7 years. ACE!
today for 3 weeks, way jealous :(
and my loving friends were wonderful. They were happy to see me and bought me drinks and danced with me. <3
then yelled at some dude in one of those really flash Audis to stop revving his engine, as the car behind him was a lamborgini.
ran a half marathon
Bloody hell well done.
You know that he ran the equivalent of a half marathon last Sunday, after playing football, and leaving the pub, off his own back?
I don't think I could walk a half marathon let alone run it!
or insanity. I prefer the latter. It's definitely not in the genes.
to avoid the apparently genetic weight issues!
Seriously though, it's all about the racing really - beating personal bests and all that.
I'm an athlete too don't you know! (According to the sponsored walk form I am anyways.)
Will do. £29.50 and counting.
Bought new glasses
Bought indietracks tickets
Put aside money for deposit
Had first weekend off booze due to lentern vow.
friday - ate a kebab, drank a bottle of white wine and 8 beers. Threw up everywhere.
saturday - horrifically hungover. got a friend breakfast, sat on a couch did nothing. Went to curry house and got a vindaloo, rice, naan and chips.
sunday - two guinness, pack of crisps, some chocolate, a 6 inch spicy italian subway, half a litre of pepsi, chicken black bean sauce and rice, a large mcdonalds milkshake.
I'm dreadding the gym today :(
I stayed in on Friday and Saturday nights, so nothing too exciting, but I played hockey on Saturday and went to see Future Islands, Hands On Heads and Internet Forever last night, which was good fun.
How was yours?
played so much drums that my fingers all individually ache, made a lovely and very civilised dinner, didn't spend any money, watched Punch-Drunk Love and Office Space. Win win win win win.
Went out with some old friends on friday night. Took Gowman to the football, and we watched Stevenagw score the winner 3 minutes into injury time. Then we went to my friends album release party before the night decended into a blur, ending with me falling down stairs at 7 in the morning. Yesterday was a bit of a bust though...
Saturday was mental busy with 3 birthday parties to attend. So that was nice. I got given 4 bottles of lovely German bier as well. I love German bier so much that I wish I was actually a German national living in Germany.
Yesterday was less fraught, I cleaned the windows upstairs, ran the hoover round and went for a lovely afternoon walk in the park with the wife and bairn.
Everything else derived from that
I DON'T CARE
Not that I give a shit or anything.
did you make a three tiered sandwich with an minature italian flag stuck on a toothpick in it?
I couldn't find the miniature Italian flags - I think they have been used. :@ The only lows of the weekend were not being able to wear my bowtie and not sticking a miniature Italian into my sandwich. Its the little things that get me through life. I had the sandwich though - wafer thin sliced turkey, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, Cathedral City cheese, Helman's mayonnaise. Repeat for second layer. Nom 'til content.
Oh wait, you don't care.
I went to a really wonderful gig on Friday night, which i really enjoyed despite feeling really shakey and shy, and drunk on two pints.
Had a really delicious lunch on Saturday at Earth Cafe, and got two of the best charity shop finds of recent times: A lovely hardback edition of some Nabokov lectures and an even nicer one about medieval children, then had a really nice dinner of falafal burgers and trof lager, then to see Anvil which was the funniest film i can remember.
I went to a Jewish museum on Sunday which was really interesting. I also went on the Metrolink for the first time and the Trof in the northern quarter, which is probably the best one, since it actually plays good music, and i had a refreshing half pint of fruli.
Then i bought some jelabi and Pick Me Up to take up the road.
went back to glasgow. went to the spots, hit the barras on sunday, transport museum and tchai ovna on saturday, got a green cord shirt and wore my denim jacket for a laugh. got drunk every night. well good. watched gladiator and my mum gave me money I didnt even ask for.
Quiet friday night, then out to watch Altrincham with moousee and the stoner supports of Altrincham. Met moousee Senior too. THen went out late into town. Died a little yesterday with small hangover. Made tea for my sister. Not bad weekend.
