I've just had a bizarre flashback to the days before the smoking ban came into force in bars and restaurants. I remembered having dinner with a friend in Salisbury's Pizza Express and us putting our cigarettes out when the main course arrived.
It all seems so strange now, I just can't imagine smoking in a restaurant anymore or why I even felt a need to do so at the time. I saw a guy kicked out of a pub last weekend for sparking up, he appeared to have utterly forgotten about the ban.
Bars and restaurants post-ban > bars and restaurants pre-ban.
