Moving to Leeds
these type of threads seem to be quite plentiful lately.
I live in the empty, sould destroying world of Northamptonshire, with my mum and brother and I no longer work, because I lost my job back in December. My life has come to a standstill and I really need a fresh start.
I have a friend who lives in Leeds and it's somewhere I'd like to live, moving there could be the fresh start I need. I have around £2,000 at the moment, I saved this up when I was working, hopefully this can pay for rent and stuff when I move.
I need a job/somewhere to rent so...
1) Is it possible to live by yourself on a low wage in Leeds, if you're renting? Would it be advisable to seek shared accommodation?
2) Assuming I'm starting at the beginning of the process, what should I do first? Lets pretend (or not, some of it is true) that I'm deeply depressed and have psychological problems that are preventing me from getting my arse in gear, how should I appraoach this?
I need to leave this place, but I'm not sure that I believe I can do it deep down. I can see myself getting stuck in this cycle of unemployment, depression and anxiety. Then I'll continue to live in a fantasy world and pretend that everything is ok, it's what I do.
Any advice? Thanks
