How i wish that some journalist/presenter/reporter could trap the RBS board with questions about 'Why did you agree to pay him 650k per year pension? why so much?' cos their normal answer when questioned about large renumeration is 'you gotta pay top dollar for the top people, or they go somewhere else' (I always did maintain that they should be allowed to go somewhere else....i always did quip that it would be good if they went to other countries and made other countries businesses uncompetative compared with UK businesses......except that business people always looked at me as if i were an inconveniant turd when i used to say this)

Anyway my point is that journalist should be vying to get boards and spokespeople to say things that show the ridiculousness of their business model (like the title of this thread)
