Midweek Football Thread
Morning all.
Will Manchester United regret not taking one of those millions of chances at the San Siro last night? I think in all honesty they'll be going back to Old Trafford quite confident of progression. I was surprised at how average Inter looked.
Arsenal were the only team last night to win in the Champions League, Van PErsie's penalty doing the damage to Roma. From what little I saw they looked in control but again might be disappointed not to have added a 2nd goal.
Henry's equaliser for Barcelona in Lyon makes them favourites for the 2nd leg and Porto draw 2-2 with Atletico in Madrid.
Well done to Coventry for knocking out Blackburn of the FA Cup, Leon Best with the goal. 2 late goals see Fulham through to a quarter final date with Manchester United.
Lots of other things happened in the lower leagues as well, sorry I don't have time to go through them.
Chelsea v Juve, Ranieri's return tonight along with Real Madrid v Liverpool.
Yah.
