I don't get it. Can someone clear this up for me?
Is the only purpose of this thing to change your update?...
My local cinema at home has started a Twitter feed to update people on when films sell out, no doubt useful for half term and disorganised parents who don't book in advance, but the chances of the customers that it's aimed at actually having a twitter-reading device seems slim to me...
The actual cost is in the same range as most decent upgrades and there are a bunch of similar phones out there on other networks.
in comparison to those for other phones (although are much better than they were and probably good enough for most people) and you still can't get one for free on a £35 tarrif which is the key pricepoint in the market.
Can't argue with the numbers that are buying them though - it's one of the main reasons that O2 have overtaken Vodafone on subscriber numbers in the last year.
You can get a G1 for free at £30 a month and various HTC/Blackberry pretenders too.
And for some reason there are people out there who actually think £45 a month isn't a massive rip-off. I don't understand how people can use their phones so much...
I work for T-Mobile. There's a surprising number of people here who've gone out and bought iPhones despite getting free contracts here.
if you just wanna know what friends are doing then probably stick to myspace. if you've never really used RSS or wanna just keep abreast of headlines and what bands/famous/interesting people are upto then it's quite good. plus you can follow and unfollow anyone (apart from those with protected status)
it takes a while and a small investment of time to find things to follow to make it work properly.
p.s. look at this http://musictwitters.com
about how people are using Twitter for NSA sex. All you would need to do* is use twitter search for "NSA sex london tonight" and see who has updated the status to that, you could even see a picture.
* I assume.
pretty pointless and random, but I wanted to get my real name url before they were all taken and I regretted it next year.
I'm following Fred Durst and Girls Aloud though. As well as lots of other random music folk. My girlfriend thinks I'm well sad.
imagine if Fred Durst was your dad! That would be so cool / horrendous.
I'm also following Wes Borland. Because I am down like a clown with 2001.
this is the point of twitter:
x to the z mothafuckas. he's incredible.
but is that who I think it is? the man, the myth?
word, represent. I'm out.
at least it underscores that I am serious about following him on twitter.
Mostly full of people you thought might be interesting terning out to be really really boring and talking to much about their lunch. On the odd occasion you get a snippet of information that interests you or a link to an article but its kind of rare.
As far as I can tell so far it's only really good for promoting your website and stuff like that. As not enough reall acctual friends of humans use it yet so you can't even follow the people your really interested in which is your friends.
I'm not sold on it yet but we'll see...
that Brusma is winning twitter?
