Using UK electronic gizmos in the US - a question

tobythecat [Edit] [Delete] 00:15, 12 February '09

FAO anyone who has taken something with a UK plug and used it in the US:

obviously you can get plug adapters for such situations - but do they always work? Like if the voltages aren't the same will some gadgets just not work/charge etc?

I am thinking of buying an electronic present for someone in the states (one of those ipod dock/alarm clock things) but it would suck big time if it didn't turn on/charge the ipod properly once it was over there.

anyone have any experience of this?

THANKS PEEPS
