Yet another 'Should I get this game/console' thread (sorry)

Hello!

2 things:

1) 'Little Big Planet'. Should I get this? Is it as good as it looks?
2) Is it worth buying a wii? (yes, this has been asked AGAIN). I always enjoy playing one whenever I get the chance, but they tend to be in 4 player games (bowling, mario and sonic olympics etc). Mario Galaxy aside, what single player games are good?
