Pros and cons of defrosting beef mince in the microwave?
Grey mince is shit mince.

if you pull it apart lots and lots on the place the minging / greyness may be less though.

Put it in a sealed plastic bag and then put that in a bowl of water (about 20°). It'll take about half an hour, or a lot less if you manage to chop it into little bits.
Usually you defrost mince by leaving it in a 20° warm room for ages, right? I don't think the chances of it going bad increase by defrosting it quicker. I always do it this way and it's been fine so far.
