i've got an external hard drive with my laptop, which has all my music and documents etc. and everything i've downloaded to it, when i click on 'properties' is marked as read only. i've tried to get rid of this by unclicking the box (which is marked with a blue square rather than a tick) but everytime i click 'ok' or 'apply' it changes, but then doesnt actually, as if i go on properites again, its still read only.

why is my computer being a bellend?
