What items of your body are you happy to pass on?
My body is useless to me after i die so i see no point in not letting others have my organs.
they'll be filled with your brothers..... ish, kinda. im well aware it wont be, just hinting that you're inbred again. hah.
I said they could take everything.
I actually sung the chorus to that Hole song really loud in the waiting room at the surgery while I was signing the form
It's the kind of thing I have always completely agreed to in principle but when I ticked the box, I couldn't help but think of *that* scene in The Meaning of Life...
That is enough for me right now, but in the future they are welcome to all of me.
A girl i went to uni with a few yrs back died just after christmas (hit by a car while crossing the road) and they saved like 7 peoples lives. Tragic but Pretty damn inspirational. Convinced me, after yrs of considering it, to join. Though they probably dont want my liver if this mornings hangover is anything to judge by.
i think we should have the opt-out policy as many people intend to register to dontate but never do.
should it be the case that the state assumes ownership of everyones' organs unless they specifically state otherwise?
maybe a less controversial strategy would be to put an option to sign up to the register in things like passport applications and driving license applications. If they're intoducing this ID card then maybe they could have them as organ donor cards too, with a box to tick when you apply. I first went on the register when a tickbox was included in the application for a boots advantage card.
I want to join, I'm happy for my organs to be used after my death.
they need to at least do an ad campaign or something
But I know now and I have joined. :)
but have been preoccupied.
