i know c_i_c already made a thread but this is TRADITION. who's up and why?
not tired, got work @ half 8 tho, so i should go to bed but listening to rage isn't exactly encouraging me
none of your business really....cept I can't sleep.
I've slept like 12 hours this week,
all my stuff is pretty much packed up, clothes, dvds, food...just have to do a little bit more tidying when i wake up tomorrow then that's it. this time tomorrow i'll be in my sexy new bedroom in deptford with a huge bed and bay windows. mmm mm.
Went down to the local and as usual ended up going to the local nightclub afterwards for a few more jars. Chav-central. I have hair past my ears so on numerous occasions some weird skinhead guys thought it funny to call me a female. Other than that quite a good night. I'm drunk! I'll tell ya anything right now....
So it's not worth your while. Though if I knew ya IRL I'd buy ya a pint, coz I like the cut of your jib.
it's getting a bit tiresome there.
I love ya. Although I love everyone right now. But you're definitely my favourite!
i came up with that question especially for you. haha.
Because people here in Leixlip, Ireland are pretty lame and I imagine everyone FAR away is kinda amazing coz I'm a romantic. Am I right?! You all like Fellini films and go out and discuss what Dylan's best period was over a few drinks and such?
The people I like to hang around are. :] So you could be right! I like to imagine that people really far away are way better than a lot of the people here as well. I can't say as to what we discuss over a few drinks, at least in a pub/bar setting because, unfortunately, I've still got 5 months to go before I can legally do that here. :(
But, the coolest thing about Michigan by far is being able to point out were you live on your hand. Lol.
personally, i thought i lived under a roof. but if you say so.
You've never heard of the whole troll thing from the UP?
that totally went over my head. now i remember. *blushes*
but i do live in the lower peninsula.
or do you just go to uni there?
which is why i'm ashamed i didn't get the joke. :/ truthfully, i've never been to the UP or even anywhere up near as north as the Mackinaw bridge would be.
My dad wants to get a cabin there and live out his reclusive writer dream.
I think maybe one day everyone who has that dream will do it and I might decide to stay behind in a city and be an urban recluse.
I just know things.
Most of the time it's a mystery to me.
probably been about a 1000 miles east and west of it but never near.
well...logically that's probably the only way I'd know it
how'd you figure i wasn't a yooper?
and the fact that you said you could point out where you live on your hand shows you're from the mitten.
sorry to bombard with the questions. apparently there's some contorted way to do the thing with the hand for the UP though i've never learned it...
I have a fair amount of relations there though.
is totally cool... right?
... but yeah, I'm totally awesome.
What time is it over there?
Poor show dude, poor show
will make up for it next friday though. although i'll be here. we're having a party round ours, i can't wait...
nothing that amazing about going out though really, you just end up home alone at 5 in the morning drunkenly listening to The Carpenters - Superstar over and over again, close to tears.
why close to tears? i usually end up asleep within 10 minutes of getting in, bit sad really sometimes.
Going out properly tomorrow but went out for a few tonight when the chance arouse otherwise I would've spent the whole evening pacing around the house moodily. Bad idea. When I've had a few drinks and am in a bad mood the minute I get home I just start listening to the most depressing music I can find. I'm currently working my way through Ryan Adams saddest songs :(
i hate when that drink-type-mood thing happens when i drink sometimes.
oh & true story: i've been listening to ryan adams for probably the past hour or so.
Have you heard Fuck The Universe yet?
It sounds like he's about to die, but in a good way.
I'm just listening to Love Is Hell mixed in with the occasional play of La Cienga and Let It Ride mixed in
some stuff from just a mix of the albums. i think i've got some stuff incorrectly labeled which i need to get on fixing. but definitely a good mix of it. haven't heard fuck the universe, will definitely check it out.
as overplayed as times like these was by the foo fighters, i quite enjoy his cover of it. have you heard it?
so I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
i found it here:
I've moved on to John Martyn for my heart broken needs at the moment. Do you like him? I was upset by the fact no one here seemed to give a crap he just died, and most of my IRL peeps barely even knew who he was.
'Head and Heart' is one of the most beautiful songs of all time:
I've got some Butch Walker going at the moment now.
I guess the tastes of an American girl worrying about exams at a semi-reasonable hour are going to be slightly different to a near-destitute, emotionally-fragile Irish boy at dawn.
from happy to sad and upbeat to mellow.
here's one of my favorites by him, although it's from a previous band...What's weird is I actually have the bootleg of this exact performance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWY3SoiR0b8&feature=related
& this is probably the song that people would be familiar with (if at all): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJU3jst3vh4
Right now I think I'm gonna mooch over to my bed and fall asleep with my cat.
although we do try and make a trip over whenever we're all home. but Sarnia is an expensive place for drinks & there's not too much variety in Sarnia. lol.
so we can use our licenses/passports over there to go drink. i luckily live about 10-15 minutes from a bridge to get there when i'm not at uni. lol. :)
I was in New York for the summer and I thought it would be much stricter than it was. I was 19 and people barely even looked at my ID for most bars and clubs. MUCH harder in Ireland, the bouncers are way bigger douches here. Even the homeless people are nicer in America. How I miss Homeless James...
I had a few escapades with some of their rougher friends.
a crack-head/tramp pretty hard in Tacoma.
I am 90% sure he was gonna try and rob me. I do sometimes wonder if did hit someone for no good reason tho.
is of my wiry, pale, Irish mate threatening a 6 foot 5 black drug dealer in the East Village one night. He kept saying we owed him money, which was, frankly, a load of tosh, and you should never anger drunk Irishmen no matter how intimidating, muscular, or athletic you seem. He backed the fuck off.
Thank feck. To be honest, I think we were so obliterated we wouldn't have cared. Definitely would have been bashed to bits, but wouldn't have cared.
I don't think he was used to skinny white boys talking back to him and he just freaked out.
I am actually surprised I didn't get beaten up at least once.
I don't know why I assumed all his friends were drug-dealers.
Most people aren't only friends with other people who do their job.
It's all about confidence anywho
but can't really get served at places in Michigan (unless i haven't been to the right places, but i've not been anywhere that doesn't ask for id when some of my friends order their drinks), then again, we just end up going to mates houses and whatnot for parties or whatever and drink there. :) i enjoy drinking on the Isle of Man when I'm there or just anywhere when I'm over for the matter. haha.
What a wankbag!
The Wire...I'm fucked hooked :(
one left for the season.
the only bad thing is there is one season left.
tried to rectify that mistake before you wondered what the fuck I was talking about....I failed :(
I seem to avoid American tv shows, but upon seeing a clip of Being Human on youtube I decided that we can't produce decent tv. Being unemployed, the TV and the internet are pretty much my lifelines at the moment so I needed something to grab me and suck me in. I have found it.
love Michael Sheen and I hear he is amazing in this...it's on my radar
great to hear he's going to be playing Brian Clough in the Damned United and the Cheshire Cat in Tim Burton's Alive In Wonderland rather soon, such contrasting roles. great actor.
because I have to take an hour and a half bus journey to catch a two and a half hour train to be in Cardiff by midday. Four hours to go about 100 miles. Good times.
Stupid living in the sticks.
Leeds is lovely in the very early morning.
walking around during sunrise-period town + love is hell part 2 = one of those weird things that is actually just simple but is in fact magical and lovely and sweet
But everyone's staying up all night, so it can wait. I'm taking F&G with me and there will be coffee and food. Nice night. ATM I'm waiting for my neighbor friend(/ex) to get home and we're going to hang out for awhile first. I'm going to be in a sorry state when I see my mom tomorrow.
