going out alone (another thread)

jesus_son [Edit] [Delete] 18:41, 6 February '09

feeling indecisive. help me dis, you're my only hope.

most of my friends are doing stupid couple stuff or otherwise engaged and, as it's already friday evening, inviting people out would probably be pretty fruitless. i'd resigned myself happily to a night of headphone music and reading, but now friday night is here, feel like a bit more.

there's a night on and there are bands playing. no-one i'd be hugely excited to see, but no-one that bad either. got a bit of cash in my pocket. it's reasonably likely there will be some people i know and am friendly with there and it's certain there will be others that i don't know well at all, only a tiny bit, but who would probably be good for a conversation, even if it's smalltalk. but then there'd be that embarassing "who are you here with?" "err, no-one, i just really wanted to see the band", and they're probably not the type of bands that anyone *really* wants to see. there's a slight possibility that it could turn into a great night, but there's also the likelier possibility it could be hugely embarassing.

what's a poor boy gonna do, drownedinsound? what's a poor boy gonna do?
