At work today there was a meeting which everyone in the office attended. There were the heads of our parent company present, and it was announced that all of our directors had 'moved on to persue other interests'. They said that it was a part of their scheme to make the company leaner and more effient. They invited questions afterwards and so I asked if by leaner they meant that there would be more redundancies. He replied with a long ramble dancing around the question. So I asked him again in a more direct way, with the same result. Then I just asked one more time and he snapped 'its not been ruled out'. Now I'm going to be the FIRST for the chop!
