She'll live and die in the public eye.
All the filling in between has been vacuous and futile.
A real product of the 21st century
and then she was consoled by housemates like they would leo sayer not being able to balance enough pennies on his nose and thus failing the shopping budget task. mental. actually mental.
It just sounds like something Charlie Brooker would put into a TV show to expose the HARSH CRUELTY OF TV. "Get a camera on her - I want the world to see her face when she finds out she's got cancer!" It's like a GP coming into a waiting room and saying to someone "Yep, you're testicles are absolutely riddled with cancer. No hope for you. Have a nice funeral."
...but constructing a cancer story.....a cancer story where the disease has infected her every pore.......a cancer story which now has a death clock attached.....I really don't see this being a fabrication.
not that it's a reason...like....if he wasn't ill he might go for the idea....but y'know.....no way.....just no way is this a stunt...of course it isn't.....but it could easily be some sort of fable on modern celeb culture, it's so precise.
I don't like bluto's in my thread
stop huffing and puffing at the worng end of the stick...again.
You must be well tired
Stuffy.....stuffy and prudish...
call me when you getting bus
I initially didn't put it passed them to try something. I thought it would've been one of those "we caught it in time and now she's okay" jobs with her rising up as the Countenance of Cancer, so every time someone went "Ugly, racist bitch" it would be argued with "But she had cancer!"
It was horrific, genuinely hard to watch, I don't understand why anyone would...
But it's quite a clear portrait of the era we're living in
she's the perfect avatar for this diseased celebrity culture.
or on the front pages when I'm sorting the papers at work.
it's not fame that gave her cancer. who's to say fame hasn't made her life more enjoyable? who's to say she doesn't take comfort from the amount of people who care about her dying? would it be better if she was a nobody, dying of cancer in a world that didn't care who she was?
If you're a nobody dying of cancer, you can embrace the solemnity that accompanies the gradual disintergration by such diseases. Being in the midst of flashing bulbs while you slowly perish.....that's the price of fame. And what a horrible price it is.
she brought camera men with her to the hospital didn't she? correct me if i'm wrong.
i'd imagine that, if given a choice, she'd choose fame again. She'd have cancer regardless, and can probably sleep easier at night knowing that she has earned enough money to give her kids a comfortable upbringing.
i don't know what else to say about it.
