does anyone know if it's possible to run a script within Access to run a script within a closed Excel workbook?
Excel 97, I can tell you how to open a cool flight simulator game that the developers added as an easter egg!
However, I think you can import the XL spreadsheet into Access as if it were a table and run queries and stuff over it.
This is probably crap code cause I'm a bit rusty
Private Sub YourSub()
Dim XLApp As Object
Set XLApp = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
.Application.Visible = True
.UserControl = True
but it's something like this anyway.
there isn't a way to record a script in access like you can a macro in excel is there?
should work I think
(i got the file location wrong), (then deleted the s from workbook by accident!)
thanks a lot :)
