I tried making chilli con carne BURGERS today. Not burgers with chilli con carne slapped on top but burgers actually made out of the core ingredients for chilli con carne - so mince meat, green pepper, onion, kidney beans, bit of tomato puree, chilli, dash of Tabasco and cayenne pepper, plus an egg to bind. It didn't go very well. Fell apart, like. Most people are telling me that I tried to put too much in, but my mum reckons that if I'd used some breadcrumbs along with the egg to help bind them, they would have been fine.
