I could technically walk to my place of work, but I think I'm going to keep that to myself and go urban sledging instead
so i guess so.
the work i was supposed to be going to yesterday was just for one day. as that one day was monday, i have no idea if i'm supposed to go in today, and the agency i got it through said "ring after half 8 and we'll try and let you know whether you're needed". ergo i am sitting in my room listening to beth orton waiting for the clock to tick. I LOVE TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT
I'm a grown up!
Went to the station and all the trains on that line are cancelled. Woo!
As I got the tube for a change. It was a lot quieter out that usual, though that may be just the lack of school kids.
The place I normally work have phoned to say they're closed, but officially I should try and get to the nearest branch that I can (a 2 minute walk). I might just walk down there and say I'm taking a days leave.
bit icy, mind ...
not much traffic on the roads, but the main routes are all clear now. Plenty of people haven't bothered though - carpark's usually full by 8:15 and there's still hundreds of spaces at the moment. Bit of a pity, but we ruined most of the good sledging snow yesterday anyway.
another day on the sofa awaits
I always get the bus so I was here dead on time. My boss lives not too far from me and had to get the bus - she got in about 5 mins ago and is planning on leaving early (I was in for 9). wtf? I get the bus every day and it took no longer today than it usually takes? Does this mean I can start turning up to work 2 hours late and going home early because "the bus takes ages" (it takes me about 1hr 30mins).
I wish I had the day off.
fun times. Though I was in yesterday and all. Cos I'm mint.
travelling in was quite easy. Damn you first capital connect. You are shit all year round, but run a good service in the face of adversity.
