I just watched this on 4oD and by God was it a waste of time.
A good hour and a half of footage of Broomfield trapsing around America and generally failing to get an interview with any of the Tatchers, Maggie, Mark, not even fucking Carol, who obviously prefers bearing all with Ant and Dec in the sodding jungle.

About a fifth of the whole film is him speaking to Maggie's Press Secretary's Sectretary, and he didnt even manage to get passed her. Well, that's unfair, he did meet him on the street in London at the very end, and didnt manage to get anything from him whatsoever.

At one point, sitting in his car, a lady walked past with a dog, and he asked if it was her dog. She said "no". He ponders whether it could be Maggie's dog, while the camera follows it walking off. Then there is a voice over "We later found out that Thatcher did not have a dog". FOR FUCKS SAKE. How that made it into the final cut, well. Is it any wonder that The Day Today started soon after this was made?
