what indie-ish things have YOU done today?
to an unsigned band's songs
good Knowledge and Understanding, poor problem solving. still good work.
Bet Thurston Moore does that ALL the time
try harder, but good effort. 6/10
I have no idea if these are indie.
I'M crap at indie
and cried into my oversized cardigan.
not rly! oversized cardigans suck. I ate some buttered crumpets?
it now all about the wooly coloured jumpers and flourescent jackets. 7/10
which is pretty indie. Maybe i should cry into that instead.
i think it has to go, though.
that's extra credit. at the moment a good 6/10
i lost them both :(
i have two theories
- either i bought one, forgot i had bought them and whent and bout them again. since then i have never cam acorss both of them at the same time.
- they have replicated and spwaned a perfect twin in the cupboard
excellent, excellent. you are on the right track now
wore a fake tanzanian national football shirt
wrapped in a flannel shirt, eating toast.
Think it's broken. Sold stuff on Ebay.
while wearing a tartan shirt, and had herbal tea along with it (this may be more hippy than indie but what do I know eh eh?)
is that indie?
I am jealous
whilst wearing a casio watch, an oversized cardigan and a dananananaykroyd tshirt (i wore this to a club to the other day and some chancer went 'wooo, how underground are YOU' somewhat unkindly). strangely enough i also washed a five pound note today, although apparently that's pretty mainstream. later i'm going ten pin bowling with my friends. how many points?
I'm considering leaving.
Maybe a bit longer.
I'm still in my dressing gown.
BUT YEAH! See you there?
but it grew really long and so i would clip it back with little bow hairclips. pretty twee i thought.
except my mate ana, who likes her name being all over it (http://slipstreamstores.co.uk/images/dana_letters_gry_lrg.png that one).
good work on the casio and cardigan. 7/10
and listened to both Neutral Milk Hotel Albums.
Wore a v-neck jumper that's a bit small for me
Listened to Slanted & Enchanted
Listened to Six Organs Of Admittance
Drank green tea
Wrote my dissertation about independent music
Stared into the void
But now I'm doing weights and sit-ups, which probably negates all my previous good work.
I'm stuck on the first disc because it's so amazing. 4 tracks, about 70 minutes long; definitely some of his best music.
we all have to stay skinny, so working out helps that. the other options is to do cocaine or just not eat, but they;re not as attractive
Except possibly running. I'm about to go for a run whilst listening to a post-rock mega mix. Is that indie?
I just thought 'oh, my thighs are looking pretty big :(' in the shower.
IS THAT INDIE?
Got upset about the horrendous state of Dorchester Town FC
Ate boiled eggs for breakfast (yeah I know, but get this. The cup was a red car thing and the plate had a road painted on it)
Ate some home made pickled onions
Watched The Dish
Have you seen Primer?
"Donnie Darko for quantum physicists" should have been the cover quote. ah well.
into a MASTODON t-shirt. So anything indie instantly turns into METAL.
yours is pretty indie though. you should have got this one: http://www.atrmerch.com/usrimage/mastodonbloodmt.jpg
and i ran up the stairs to play it
Indie? Probably not. Loserish? Ridiculously so.
underneath a pile of wooly cardigans.
Pretty much all I've done today anyway.
luckily i am stuck in aberdeen working for a multinational oil and gas company who are going to send me to texas. fuck london for the moment. :)
hideous faux fur coat <3, very Shoreditch. OH and I'm helping out with an Oxford record label so e-mailed a few peope/read some blogz etc... then I finished (kind of) a manga sketch (see profile pic).
then made some earrings, listened to Bill Callahan, played mario kart and went for a walk with my parents around bosworth battlefield. took pictures of ducks.
took a tram to an animal centre (donkeys, ducks, pigs and alpacas ago-go)
bought a black, velvety widebrimmed hat
What do I win?
I thought you were rock and roll, honey.
I felt really down. I needed something fun and fuzzy. Donkeys at an animal farm are apparently the answer. I'LL SHOW YOU ROCK N ROLL SOMETIME SOON SISTERRRRRRRR
sitting at work drinking tea, browsing more horribly indie mary jane shoes online, cursing the radio station that i am forced to listen to at work because they play the killers and shitty 80's music
woke up, ironed my work uniform which was recently deemed not corporate enough, organised stuff for my student radio station which was on the verge of gaining corporate sponsorship but it didn't go through in the end.
Listened to Eternal Lord, bought juice and the saturday Independant (for the sigur ros cd). Once I've finally got off the internet I'll probably be sat on my bed building robots, drinking relentless and watching the rest of Lords of Dogtown before putting on the sigur ros cd.
but my jeans could be considered skinny although if I'm honest they probably just don't fit me very well.
(this wasn't her only present though, I'm not THAT indie)
while watching Independence Day and then I wrote an essay on the War of Independence.
Not really. All I did today was go to Ikea and it was a fucking nightmare :(
a VINTAGE yes VINTAGE Dickies shirt, with one of those droopy hats on. Contemplating going to make myself a cup of tea, which as we all know, tea, which is a drink that has been brewed for hundreds of years, is now somewhat labelled as indie. I'm gonna chillax and listen to my ipod and post on this all day, its going to be all time.
can you believe its fucking February already!!!!
and a book on No Wave co-authored by Thurston Moore.
today i'm gonna ruin my indie weekend by going to the pub to watch newcastle vs. sunderland, though it's only really to keep my flatmate company.
