And how does it compare to what you're doing now? (Warning: This thread could be potentially disappointing.)
When I was younger, I most wanted to be an archaeologist, going on fantastic adventures in Egyptian tombs, Mesopotamian temples, or, fuck, even just appearing on Time Team and looking at a bunch of rocks in Surrey.
Then I wanted to be a painter, the next Francis Bacon to be exact. I had plans to do a ten foot painting that would scare the crap out of the world and gain me notoriety.
I now work in a centre for Deaf and Blind people, doing nothing very interesting with no idea what I want to do, but with the feeling that adventures in Egypt are even further away than before.
