I attended a film screening of 'Encounters at the end of the world', which is fantastic and then an interview with Werner done by Mark Kermode.
The film is set in Antarctica and is jaw-droppingly stunning. It's also really funny. Herzog asks this penguin expert if he's encountered any gay or insane penguins. Has loads of strange, philosophical inhabitants as well.
Herzog was, as you'd expect, very entertaining and funny. He liked the Dark Knight and said one of the only films he's seen in the past few years was The Real Cancun, about American teens on springbreak. He said it was delightful. He spoke alot about the environment and climate change. He seemed like a nice guy.He signed this book which I had in my bag, and got a picture with him afterwards, as my friends wanted to meet him.
I know we have lots of threads about him, especially recently, but who's a fan?
