As in, if you were starving to death, would leaves off trees provide nutrition enough for you to live a bit longer?
I like your way of thinking
I ate loads when I was younger. Not many varieties taste very nice and I have no idea if you could survive on them.
i love ray mears so so much
but better. However I just found out this: "Grylls has a strong Christian faith, and described his faith in an interview with Channel 4 as being the 'backbone' in his life." Plus he named his children Marmaduke and Huckleberry. So I guess Mears wins, until I find out something incriminating about him at least.
he's the only man who can go into a desert and come out fatter
not completely, that's impossible, but still... It'll take time to heal
Anywho, Bear Grylls would out-survive Ray Mears I think.
no matter how much the evidence proving it is unsurmountably so stacks up
I blame Wikipedia.
Curled up inside that camel :'(
This might help you heal:
I think the love affair is back on
unless they chose to be black or born in the north and swear to live their entire lives subordinate to the doctrines of blackness or northernness
but I wouldn't recomend it really
Why don't they sting the fuck out of your mouth?
and he ate some nettles there and then.
There was so much other shit added you couldn't taste the nettles
they dont sting after cooking
dead nettles and the regular stinging ones. Dead nettles have white flowers on where you can suck the nectar out of them as they're formed with little tubes. Other ones are the nasty ones. More plant facts later from the country girl.
grab them enthusiastically and lifelong urban dwellers will be shocked and amazed
i haven't tasted any though.
My brother teaches bushcraft and I like to think i'm a bit of a woodsman adter riding off his coat tails. I could identify a fair few that you could eat. not sure you could eat them in any great quantity without being sick but you could stave off hunger for a while longer. There's one tree in particular thats leaves taste like apples (not an apple tree) and I ate quite a few of them and gave myself a dicky tummy.
I've eaten allsorts of shit in the woods; roots, leaves, nuts, a rabbit, pot noodles, you name it.
I'm reminded of the final scenes of Into The Wild as an example of leaves you probably shouldn't eat.
Also, you get spiky leaves, which would shred your tongue.
there's a standard process. Check dis:
