I've been sacked 3 times. Firstly from a morning paper round at the age of 14, where I delivered the papers to the wrong houses with such frequency that I incensed the shopkeeper to the point where he grabbed me by the front of the Umbro jacket and screamed in my face. I kicked over his crappy toy stand and ran out.

Secondly from a the shittest Prudential admin job when I was about 19. It really was shite and I used to roll in at 11am with a hangover most days and a increasingly unbelievable excuse as to why. One day I didn't show up at all and was asked not to come back.

And lastly, I did a courier job when I was out of work just to tide me over. On the 3rd day I received a phone call at about 8am from an agency at about who were looking for proper jobs for me, saying that they had an intervioew for me that day. So, I drove the van home, got changed, drove the van all the way to Egham for the interview and back again to Reading. By the time I turned up back at the depot, wearing a suit, shirt and shoes, I had delivered about 6 parcels, so they gave me the boot. I have a strange feeling i was the smartest dressed delivery driver ever to be given the sack.
