Ten point deduction to be applied immediately.
You heard it here first.
Relegation battle just got easier for us
Who is your team?
about to cry. Shit. I cant believe this. Still, Fratton Park is still a shit hole.
Defoe and Diarra has fully balanced the books and Gaydamak has plenty to keep the club up and afloat to make it a saleable prospect.
Just one more place up for grabs and anything like up to 12 clubs fighting against being in that spot come May.
I'd be more worried for Derby and Norwich than them at the moment.
to that list of possibles too.
All are struggling at the minute, and Plymouth are in absolute freefall and were woeful at our place last Saturday.
losing the parachute payments soon, 7.1m of loans needing refinancing this year. Doesn't look promising.
In the Championship of course..
and not just based on that FA Cup game. There's obvious unrest among the players at the club, too many mercenaries on high salaries, and a manager who clearly has little to no input regarding team affairs.
I don't think you'll go down, but I think that's more about the lack of quality around you than anything to do with your team.
A lot of those comments came from your fans after the game two weeks ago. One even suggested that the reason Robinho didn't play that day was because its written in his contract that HE chooses which games to play in and not the manager or the club, which sounds absurd on the surface but probably not a million miles from the truth in the current climate of agents owning players etc...
As for salaries, don't tell me that relative unknowns in the world of football such as Kompany, Zabaleta, Caicedo, Jo, Elano et al et al aren't picking up higher wages than they would be playing for some non-entity club back home because that really doesn't wash.
Same with Robinho - possibly the only player who could creep near the "world class" bracket on your books, He didn't turn Chelsea down for footballing reasons now did he?!?
I'm going to be around here a long while yet. Next time you throw your toys out of the pram and leave, please close the door behind you.
Maybe you'll actually go and watch the team you allegedly "support". You're a disgrace to the name of Man City, KiK, although thankfully, not a true representation of the REAL City fans who follow the club week in week out.
As for being a stupid fool...Man City? Europe? Ha Ha Ha!!!!! You're obviously having a laugh, right? Moron.
So as I already stated, you're a fairweather fan who probably had no interest in football a decade ago until it became trendy to follow the "Premier League".
Well done. I'd send you a badge to signify your status but don't want you getting it mixed up with your giro...
Then you might stop posting inane drivel on here.
i'd also be pretty suprised if his contract has anything particularly odd to it. the amount of time taken on the transfer wouldn't really allow for anyone to sit down and come up with a whole host of strange things.
my guess is he'll have signed a standard contract with a big fat pay and bonuses clause, and possibly a couple of release clauses. and nothing much beyond that.
also, kompany, elano and jo aren't exactly unknowns. and they were signed when city weren't that rich, so they'll be on pretty normal wages. caicedo's probably on relatively little given his age - probably still on his first contract. forest are probably paying earnshaw more... (not that i have any idea how much they're paying him. but you know what i mean)
regarding Earnshaw being our highest earner but its fair to say he has a proven track record at Championship level that's almost unmatched by any other striker in the League as far as goals-per-games go at that level. He is reputedly on £8k per week by the way...
On the world stage, the likes of Kompany, Elano and Jo haven't exactly won achieved anything of note, and although probably not in the same wage bracket as SWP, Bridge or Robinho, will certainly be on higher salaries than the majority of Premiership players at clubs of a similar stature.
As for Robinho, whether he turned them down or they withdrew is relative depending on sources I guess. Point is, he isn't there to improve his footballing credentials...
Chelsea withdrew their offer once they found that they were in a bidding war with Man City that they had no hope of winning. Robinho had burned his bridges at Real and had to go. City were the only remaining option, not that he's grateful.
even with no other problems, you blatantly don't have a squad ready for a relegation scrap (which you're definitely in), you're one of the easiest teams in the league to play against. have an awful defence, and keep signing forwards that don't really solve your problems.
i'd be pretty worried if i were a city fan.
Don't tell me, you're an expert on him too? Ha Ha Ha!!!!!
You're a comedy genius kissinginkansas, really?
Brightens up a dour working day round here, believe me...
You haven't seen much of anyone have you KiK...
looking at city's team, and assuming only de jong comes in, who'll be first choice?
looks okay, but i'm not convinced that bellamy, swp and robinho will compliment each other. and if you get another forward they'll probably also have to play, and then you end up having all kinds of problems. it's only really in the defence that anyone could be dropped - and you can't really afford to do that and stay balanced.
is having proper wingers such as SWP and Petrov when they have nothing in the box to aim for? I know Jo has been a bit of a joke but still I wouldn't be surprised if there was a reversion back to 4-4-2. Kompany to move back into defense, it can't be any worse then what's there right now.
that De Jong is a City player and hence he plays alongside Ireland.
"it can't be any worse then what's there right now" Was refering to the Dunne - Richards CB partnership which has been a shadow of what it was last season.
THERE'S BEEN A MURDER.
doth one knowest thou?
combined with a chum on the newsdesk at the Echo.
He told me of the Defoe, Pennant and other football bits a couple of days in advance. Though he's been wrong twice in about seven attempts.
literally no idea what any of that means.
But if it involves making lots of money, can I have some please?
it would be a shame to see them in League 1.
it makes our position a little easier. Argyle have been on relegation form for a while and desperately need something to stir them from it.
Argyle were at the weekend to be honest. I think that's also the first time Rory Fallon hasn't scored when he's been playing against us, whether it be for Plymouth, Swansea, Swindon or Barnsley.
wouldn't bet on Saints going into administration. As, subsquent to your thread I consulted someone in the know and apparently they are not going into administration tomorrow. Although Jan Poorvielt is infact a joke and Lowe is greed.
and also the only way Charlton won't finish bottom
Not really a surprise though.
