I am going to subway for lunch to celebrate. this is the best thing to happen to me in weeks.
Contractor's jobs are in danger. Hmmmm....
they all got a pay cut (substantial) and we all got a rise. never felt so smug
Some contractors are on pretty silly money, so as far as the businesses are concerned, they can afford to take a pay cut - and if they can't, those people are simply getting replaced with new contractors at the lower rate. They'll be much more inclined to look after their permanent staff, which is how it should be in my opinion.
That's why they're contractors after all.
I have to approve the renewals. Some of them are quite astounding :)
i am on much less than my contractor boss
Anyone in our company on £30k plus isn't.
but the idea behind it is to sustain current numbers of employees and allow for expansion. If those earning more have to forego a raise this year for that to happen... well, I'm comfortable with that!
I'm not even logged in anyway so I don't care
has just kicked in, this was based on october(?)'s inflation rate, so we're all smiling.
