A thread about betting (bad idea to start?)

GalacticStar3ruption [Edit] [Delete] 00:02, 21 January '09

I wouldn't mind placing a few bets every now and again, but I don't want to go overboard and end up addicted.

I think I'd be quite good at making money, as long as I stuck to sports that I know about. It would be mainly football and major snooker tournaments, I fancy Ali Carter for the World Championship this April, you can get very good odds at the moment.

I guess my questions are, should I start? Does anyone who bets regret starting? And any other advice you can give me, would be appreciated.

As a side note I remember thinking about putting £10 on Arsenal to beat Man City 1-3 with Adebayor scoring first last season at 33-1. I didn't go for it and it ended up happening. I was so angry with myself :(

Thanks
