My bloke and me leave for Japan on June 27th and return on July 24th.

We're hitting Tokyo for 7 days. Kyoto and Mt. Fiji are also must-sees, but aside from that it's being winged. Anyone got any advice on where to go? Amazing things to see? Anywhere off the beaten track worth visiting?

Also: any advice for accommodation? We want to move around without constraints of reservations, but will not booking in advance mean we have to go to more expensive accommodation? What with GBP being flushed down the toilet like an unsightly turd of late costs will need to be reduced somewhat.

Lastly: is it likely to be cool with two blokes sharing a bed?
