6/10, at most
its a 7/10, probably 8.
Yeah, 6/10 is about right. They didn't develop the characters enough so frankly I didn't really care about them. Decent enough way to spend 2 hours though.
Stupid cinema showing The wrestler at stupid times... *grumble*
I was full on welling up at the end.
Slumdog was great when it was flashbacks to the kids, but when it caught on to the modern day, you realised the story was lame.
I havent been to the cinema in England for almost 2 years..
Theres 4/5 good looking films out allready or over the next few weeks so I might try use it as a pub alternative.
I'd probably give it a 7.5/10. I agree that the characters weren't really developed enough though. The brother character in particular.
It also never really explained how he got on Who Wants to be a Millionaire either, despite that question being raised in the film. I fully expect there to be a 'Director's Cut' released when it gets to DVD.
But the rest of it was some bloke staring blankly as events occured to him
but by the end you warmed to him, and in the police station/house he was fine.
This film wins purely on the little Jamal, how stunning it looks, how pretty older Latika is, and how much of an indian identical twin the older older brother is to one of Tom's friends.
and it came back with 200,000 matches
and old Latika... so pretty i agree! rob didn't.
