I went to a screening of the film and they had an interview with Fincher afterwards.
The film is very good. I'd give it 8/10. It's not a million miles away from Big Fish, in that a dying woman recounts fantastical events. The sfx are pretty stunning and seamless in the film, and it's generally a lot more playful and dare I say it, more family orientated. My only qualms are that the relationship between Pitt and Blanchett isn't the most convincing I've seen.
Fincher himself was pretty interesting, gave a few insights into his working style, and laughed about all the Fox employees getting sacked after Alien 3. Could imagine him being a bit of a slave driver.
