PGCE League Tables [longshot-centric]
Does anybody happen to know if there's a league table for university PGCE courses? And if there is, where I might be able to access/find it? Several uni websites mention it but I can't find it :/
THANKS!

Good luck!
You absolute legend
THANK YOU! X
No worries.
A swift bit of googling was all it took. I did mine (secondary history) at the Institute of Education in London (no. 7 apparently), but am now living in Oxford, so I know lots of people who've done the Oxford Uni and Oxford Brookes courses too.
My personal view some years on is that while you want to be on a good course, it's not nearly as important as what happens when you're in the school. I had great tutors at the IoE, but the supervision in schools was mixed. It's in school that you really learn the stuff, so in some ways I don't know how important the "reputation" is.
And btw, I stopped teaching after 3.5 years :%
Yeah that's understandable
A lot of the course descriptions I've looked at [Bath, Bristol, Cambridge and Exeter] make a big deal of the support they offer to trainee teachers while they're in school...
Why did you stop, out of interest?
