hang on, it's on again. No, no it's on.
Nah it's off.
It's definitely off. Or is it on?
The vast majority of Southend 'fans' I know are pricks, so I like the idea of them turning up to find no game on
it's on again!
5 live, epic "scenes"
"but if it gets misty again, it's off".
They haven't the foggiest what's going on.
now "it's clear as a bell"
Col U going one up and then hitting the post was actually incredible. Of course, it was inevitable they were going to lose, but they played them off the park in the first half. It was ridiculous
you'll win on penalties
that's not even opinion, it's a fact.
in relality I'm predicting an uninspiring but reasonably comfortable
hopefully, chelsea's woeful form will continue.
but 2 wins in 8 games is actually woeful for a team going for major honours :(
Newcastle, Chelsea, C Palace
Barcelona, Chelsea, Man Utd
Nice to see you back.
Nobody fancied pompey yesterday, i predicted a draw at pompey and away win (both came in). So surely Chelsea will not slip up here.
Barca, PSG, Newcastle, Palace, Juve
draws at 90 in the Manure and Chelsea games
chelsea loss, barca loss...
even the half-decent commentators on Sky can't say that right.
will they switch to Newcastle v Hull if it gets called off halfway through? So many questions.
I can't really see Chelsea not winning this, though I'd love to be proved wrong. 2-0 I reckon.
we will just end up getting knocked out by someone good in a later round and I'd rather we saved our players for league matches, we keep playing the same people week in, week out.
Actually I guess it's our best chance of a trophy this season, my mistake boys, carry on.
he reckons they are pretty keen on him
I kind of like Wigan though, so part of me doesn't want him to leave.
Rooney, 2nd min
takes the wrong option every single time. United are just slacking a bit after taking that early lead, Wigan are seeing plenty of the ball. Rooney off with a hamstring pull as well.
Explosions in the sky in it's build up upset piece?
normal cack coverage a bit doesn't it?
zonal marking my a-hole!
back in the days of Division Two, I'm well aware every single lower league team has a big, immobile striker who scores about three per season.
I seem to remember Dele Adebola used to score about half his season's tally against Reading.
ballack is brilliant
Southend have been working bloody hard. Can't see them keeping it going and they may well get carved up in the last 20 minutes.
Get him in that Chelsea penalty area the way they are defending.
but not unpredictable. the 3rd and 4th have been nicely worked and finished.
How has ScLOLari done this, he's turned the best team in the Premier league, at dead ball situations into one of the worst. I saw this coming to be fair, Portugal couldn't defend them for shit either.
men on the posts. At least three of the last six you conceded would have been cleared off the line by a man on the far post.
That's the sort of idiocy that separates the men from the boys - the kind you see on highlights of the championship.
People had a go at me once for suggesting that there were so many elementry mistakes at Championship level. Apparently I wasn't allowed that opinion because I only watch the highlights. Which is just silly.
so what? That's his job - Gomes is a good shot stopper, but his command of the area, distribution and consistency is poo poo.
there are so many keepers out there that look impressive when they're flying around stopping digs at goal, a goalkeepers role is so much more than that.
Keeper clearly called for it. If he'd claimed it they'd all be eulogizing about how that's 'exactly what his team needed' just before halftime. Defender should never have gone for it, and I'd have been royally pissed off with him if that happened during a game I was playing in.
I'm an absolute spoon for not realising it was on ITV, I didn't even check. I went on there to look at when the higglights were going to be on. Haha. :D
you missed Andy Townsend's incisive halftime analysis.
that you don't have the authority and decisive attitude when it comes to football that Andy Townsend has.
I wish I had a tactics truck
Little rich coming from denizens of Essex, no?
gimme my money already
maybe we could've sneaked a 1-0 for ourselves but once Hull scored...
WE NEED HIM
particularly poor second half, barely carved out an opportunity.
Didn't really get back on top after Tevez missed that sitter in the first half. O'Shea got absolutely roasted by Valencia, it was embarrassing to watch. Watching that useless twat makes me want to stick my head in the oven sometimes. Tevez worked hard but provided little actual threat in front of goal, Berbatov started well but faded, and Ronaldo was largely non-existent.
That said, both Scharner and Bramble were lucky not to pick up second yellow cards. Looked like we might have had a decent penalty shout for a handball by Cattermole, but I couldn't tell for sure on my shitty stream. I got the impression Bennett was out to prove a point tonight with some of his decision-making, though.
Make no mistake though, Wigan are a good side. Valencia and Palacios were both excellent. The away game will be tricky to say the least. Still, another three points gained.
at least the team all looked together after the 4th goal. Drogba isn't playing, coincedence? I'm going to assume not, he's a disruptive influence, he can fuck right off.
I did want him to stay because we need him on the pitch, it's got to the stage where he can no longer be a part of this squad.
just put 20 quid on Atletico
Not Barca's first choice team tonight. Keeper looks dodgy...
it's only virtual money though
bit of an impulse buy
with your "sure things"
unlucky douche, a draw is still likely to screw us both.
i would've lost it all on gambling anyway, just taken a little longer
it's the taking part
I'm glad I'm not there to see the backlash
Can't say I'm too upset though
And am a bit gutted it ended 4-1. Their first third and fourth goals were all down to silly mistakes from our boys but it was a good (if not great) performance and lets face it, there is a slight difference in terms of league and finance levels.
Hope we can sneak into the playoff spots now!
