he's probably wetting himself
you have to be, surely it can't actually happen. I'll be forced to hate football for a few months if Kaka goes to Man City.
Man City are shit and apparently look like (maybe) signing one of the best footballers in the world.
They also have Pato, Gourcuff and Ronaldinho, so I guess it's conceivable that they could cash in.
I wrote out a bunch of other (not very interesting) stuff about the goal and it disappeared.
to have the presence of mind and technique to pull that shot off, especially after a piece of skill like that. I hope they actually give him an extended run in the team when he's recalled, he looks like he could become a great player.
but why would the player leave, especially when he's said how much he loves Milan, he wouldn't come to us or Real, so why City? He doesn't seem like the type to move for money, he'll have more than enough as it is anyway.
That doesn't make sense. I would maybe understand (sort of) if City were having a good season and they were on the up.
Do you mean the ambition of being the No.1 player in a team that comes from nowhere to conquer Europe or something?
Do you mean when Maradona went to Napoli?
he only left Barca for Napoli because they were willing to give him a huge signing on fee.
I really wanted to get it in, I haven't had the chance to try it out in a real life conversation.
add in the fact that Milan could do with the ludicrous fee (Kaka may see himself as doing his loved club a big favour by providing the cash) and you have a set of circumstances where it COULD happen. Not saying it will though
that he'd be interested in a move to England, although I wouldn't necessarily put any weight behind it. I imagine Robinho might have an influence over him, Milan are hardly the team they were a couple of seasons back, you dismiss the money aspect but he'd be earning truly ludicrous sums of money, he's not been in the greatest of form for the past 18 months in Italy, there are rumours he doesn't get along with Ronaldinho.
Most of the above is very likely rubbish, but I don't think it's completely out of the question that he'd want to move.
I mean ultimately Kaka is one in a long line of Milan greats - there were others before him and others after and all he's had to do is keep 'em winning stuff and competing at the top.
On the other hand if he became the key man in bringing a club into the elite he could potentially end up the most idolised player in that club's history.
Plus it also depends what Man City's plans are. They've got the cash so if they can convince him he's getting in on the ground floor of something that'll soon be massive I can see that.
That said, I still don't see him signing.
you're points are valid ones and although it's a bit of a cliche in reference to football now - "stranger things have happened".
anything at all
this could go both ways. might stay cos he doesn't like money. might go so that he can build loads of churches or something.
fernando tatis is amazing.
shitting crikey hell almighty
and they're full of strong rumours about a 90 million bid for Villa and another Valencia player as well.
I think I've entered the fucking twilight zone.
I'm enjoying being caught up in this.
they could almost buy Ronaldo for that ;)
although I am also hoping for a return to the Keegan-esque Newcastle 1-2-4-4 formation days. Them were some good motd highlights!
don't you worry.
if they'd sent the press chasing after RSC, Bellamy and Parker, only to unveil Kaka, Villa and Silva.
but he is.
People thinking Kaka is the big citeh story are so wrong.
that Sarkyfox ranks pretty low on the list of womens wombs I'd like to emerge from...
please please please please please
Even if Kaka wasn't motivated by money its difficult to imagine anyone turning down £500, 000 a week!
think the foremost thing in his mind this morning is "the challenge" of playing for Man City!?
but could you clarify just how you know that money is the sole reason he might consider the move?
It's all over the City message boards.
want to move but I simple can't see any other reasons. As has been pointed out above he apparently 'loves' Milan, City are struggling etc. In other words if it's not the money what is it?
but there have been rumours for a while that he, being a shy, retiring family man isn't always entirely comfortable with the glitz and glamour of Milan. Robinho and Elano are also reportedly very close friends of his. Milan don't really look like challenging for honours this season and sem to have fallen down the pecking order behind Inter, Juventus, Roma and a resurgent Fiorentina so a move could be on for those reasons.
Christ knows, I'm sure £500,00 would be a massive draw. I just think it is ridiculous that even within the fairly balanced and intelligent football debate there is on DiS, people still think they know a players most intimate thoughts and motivations. (Not a personal dig, by the way)
Well I guess we'll all know a 'bit' more soon enough.
will tear the championship apart! Will be great to see them play the likes of Doncaster!
half a million a week ?
i'd love him to have an Owen like injury-plagued spell if he goes to city, scoring 4 goals in the 10 games he plays per season and the like
Improbable transfers the likes of which we've never seen
the coverage alone makes me hope he doesn't make the move
man lampard must be choking on his 120k
No-one's going to read all that.
That part is absolute bollocks and teams are proving as much year in year out.
not Craig Bellamy
i want to grow old at milan. oh dear, looks like city haven't quite ruined football just yet.
I didn't think he'd ever go, did he reject them and their stupid money, contract offer?
I didn't think he'd move for money, I don't think he's that type of person, a rare breed in footballing terms but I had faith in him, not to be greedy. He loves Milan (Chelsea and Real couldn't even prise him away from them) and the only way he was going to leave was in order to help his club out money wise. If the club want him to stay, he would stay :) :) :) :) :)
