medical trials... ever a good idea?
Have you done it?
I once tested some Robinson drinks for £30. And free squash! Good times
It was fun, and I ended up keeping in contact with a couple of the people who were in there with me for a while after. It was a bit like Big Brother really - we weren't allowed outside for that entire time, so you start getting restless and people start getting a bit weird. But most of the time you just sit around doing FA, watching DVDs and the like.
I didn't have a job or a home at the time, so it was perfect then, but I wouldn't do one now.
We had to eat these big, chalky tablets every 12 hours and then have a blood test every 48 hours to see how quickly it was eliminated from our blood stream. So not good if you don't like needles
a got paid about £250 and got really sick in a flu-y way for about 36 hours but other than that was fine.
I only did it because I knew alot about the vaccine and felt sure that it was (relatively) safe. I'm not sure I would take part in something I didn't know about.
I think taking approved medicine is dangerous enough without letting the bastards that are the Pharmaceutical industry test on you!
In the USA alone 106,000 people die per year from side effects of prescribed drugs...
he's fine. so far. makes enough out of it.
all vaguely comforting.
