Oh yeah it is. Thursday though.
listening to bright eyes with a cuppa at work.
I awoke to the sound of loud drilling and sawing and the shock of there being no running water in the building
fortunately I had a water bottle that I'd filled last night and so I have managed to have 3 cups of tea but I'm still waiting to have a shower
It's been two hours now
i don't know what i'd do if i couldnt have a shower, probably have some ice cream.
but all the noise stopped about 3 minutes ago - time to test the water...
last day at work until Thursday and i have some nice soup waiting for me at home for my lunch break. Life is good.
I am on episode 3 of season 3 of the wire, have a nice cup of hot coffee, a monotonus (sp) tag number allocation job and a subway outing for lunch. that's as good as it gets at the moment. lots of other stuff is broken though. :) + :(
oh this is the worst trip, i have ever been on.
Just had a pot of tea (1 bag english breakfast, 1 bag earl grey) was quaffable but not transcendentary.
Going to watch s1 ep 4 of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Tell me more about this whole possible Texas thing. Sounds interesting.
Wasn't quite strong enough.
yeah, i have a chance to do an exchange for a year with my company out to houston texas to work. one of the girls i am friends with worked out there and it sounds good fun, and this years exhange from houston works alongside me and he has pretty much convinced me to go for it.
it is a formal placement for 12 months and i get paid and extra £14 a night that I am there... which is an extra 4.6k approx for the year, plus my flat and car provided. it is a really good oppurtunity. if i don't get the exchange... i'll probably just ask for a permanent transfer to perth, oz, abu dhabi or london to stave my travel cravings, though moving to london would mean i'd have to become gay...
if you don't mean me, then ignore the above
(of course I meant you, you mupp! you mentioned it in one of my dis bookclub threads y'all)
it is... i can't apply till May when they start the "official" application process but there are two or three spaces and normally one of my department goes.
i am going to pick up a couple of books tonight if i get a chance, revolutionary road is one of them. :)
Bit tired here today but have a bacon roll and am working from home tomorrow = happiness levels quite high.
The exchange sounds great.
And a good morning at that. Got lots to look forward to which is a change to the norm - footy on saturday, footy on sunday, visiting the ladyfriend next weekend. Aaaaaah bisto :)
