Creator of The IT Crowd; co-creator of Father Ted; co-wrote first series of Black Books. Give that man a knighthood?
he'd probably reject it anyway!
not only are black books 2 of the finest sitcoms penned in the last 10 years but also the IT Crowd is just getting better and better to the point a once decent sitcom has blossomed into a great one.
Get a sword, go to his house and do the job zapsta
But Father Ted involved 3 people (one straight, one whacky, one odd) stuck in a room together and was great. Then Black Books came along and I liked it almost as much, but it was essentially 3 people (one straight, one whacky, one odd) stuck in a room together. Lastly, IT Crowd wanders along being wholly average with 3 people (one straight, one whacky, one odd) stuck in a room together.
I love the bloke, and rate 'Big train' as the best sketch show ever personally, but I do think he needs to shake up his writing.
Fawlty Towers, Only Fools And Horses, Rising Damp, Yes Minister...
But I just think he's capable of more. Didn't see much of Series 3 though to compare it, but generally I just can't get on with the IT Crowd. Seems very OTT and predictable
Chris Morris to get a knighthood!
But I imagine the Daily Mail wouldn't be too cheerful about it all.
was the best thing he's ever done by far.
anyone else read it?
has improved so much.
Do you pronounce it the I.T. Crowd or the It Crowd? I can see the play on words but don't know which way to side. PLEASE HELP.
is how Linehan says it.
of the IT Crowd (i should be working) and I really really hope Linehan gets a 4th series.
but mainly for the girl...
