The noise the jubilee line makes as it sets off. Sounds like a banshee wail through a foghorn.
when there is a chance/goal in a football game.
Semi-cheering and then the Ohwr sound that swiftly follows
i think i prefer the 'G'WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!!' the crowd collectively make though at that time.
With hindsight, it was more of an experience than a sound. Living under the flightpath the whole ground would shake. I'm sure I'd feel differently if it was still flying over my house to this day. 747's just aint the same.
and hated the Concorde. You couldn't hear conversation/radio/TV because some rich fuckers were lording it up.
i hate the sound they make when they land tho
The sound of a) someone kicking a football, b) someone driving a cricket ball, c) hitting a tennis ball or d) children shouting in delight on a summer’s day.
The sound that an amp makes when you plug in a jack.
The sound of running water.
The sound of lots of feet walking in the absence of traffic noise.
The sound a derailleur gear makes when you shift up or down.
The sound that a gas oven makes when it catches light.
sound of a car boot opening.
In a Clarkson voice. On a car theme, I also like the sound my 205 makes when I take it out of gear. And also the noise of engines in tunnels.
(please note, NOT a can)
IT has a certain dj shadow beat about it.
the sound of cassettes and VHS tapes rewinding when they accelerate and the pitch rises slightly and suddenly..clunk.. they reach the end and relax
also, I have a butter knife that if you ping the flat of the blade off your knuckle makes the sweetest soft ringing note
is metal against metal, usually being scraped against. Not in an agressive manner, just soft and smoothly. For example, the scene in Kill Bill, the sword fight in the snow, (I believe she uses a Katana), the sound that is made when there's complete silence, then all you hear is the "sschiiing" of the sword against its' skin. THAT'S my favourite kinda sound :)
the sort of laugh that makes you cry and wheeze and double over in pain but sheer hilarity, getting sillier and sillier. doesn't happen often but when it does, it's brilliant.
bubbles popping in a bubble bath.
