3) The Mist
4) Empire Strikes Back
5) The first 3 Planet Of The Apes films.
has to be in there really.
Return of the King - I love it, I do, but the ending is about 45 minutes long. Makes me feel bad.
is a good one. Totally gut wrenching. I love the use of that Dead Can Dance track too.
Elf - so cheesy it made me want to puke my guts out.
A brand new film that I shall not spoil.
THAT'S ALL I GOT
3) Pans Labyrinth
5) Withnail & I
I guess a couple of those are more bittersweet than feelbad but as a dedicated pessimist I think they fit.
tho its shit
er...would say season 1 of 24, but it no film.
That's the impression i got anyway. It would mean the whole cycle of the film would start again.
I'd have said Hubert shoots the cop.
way after the film has finished. I just think that the film started with someone who died through police violence, it's probably how it would end.
Maybe they both shot each other? Maybe Said pulled out a desert eagle with his eyes closed and laid waste? We will never know.
American History X
The Last King of Scotland
That's all I got.
Waltz with Bashir
The "Thriller" music video
"The Vanishing" (original european version, not US film of same name)
that stayed with me for ages
I KNOW NOW WHY YOU CRY. BUT IT IS SOMETHING I CAN NEVER DO. [thumbs up]
"...no, it's... it's just an eyelash in my eye..." [sniff]
"Oh...so...everyone died anyway. Oh. Oh."
I really love that film
2) Just Married (an entire film spent pointing out how horribly unsuited two people are, and then at the end they get together for no better reason that the fact that Ashton Kutcher wrecks her front gate. THIS IS NOT A METAPHOR)
4) LOTR: The Two Towers (cringe cringe cringe)
5) AI: Artificial Intelligence ("Wait - I thought this film had already ended? Why is it still on, 30 minutes later?")
Grave of the Fireflies
War of the Roses
They get back together but realise the things that led them apart will always be there and it will never work.
My friend leaned across "Dude, are you crying?"
"No, my eyes are watering from staring at the screen for so long"
we're clearly sunny, sunny people.
No-one seems to remember it but its a film about the start of HIV in America from 1990. There's a death scene, its agonising. My default 'best death scene ever' if u should say 'best' but u know what i mean. There were Oscar nominations and the like at the time but still noone remembers it. Look it up it's cathartic. But feelbad at the same time.
God.. i dont think i could see that again.
maaan. i so wanted him to get away with it.
infinite justice [american jewish dude kidnapped by islamic extremists, guess how it ends]
gegen die wand [love story where everything that possibly can go horribly, awfully wrong... does go horribly, awfully wrong.]
the great silence [klaus kinski, eh? what a cunt.]
and agreed on Grave of the Fireflies, Night of the Living Dead, Requiem for a Dream.
for at least 3 years, and i've never watched it.
1) Carlito's way - so fucking annoying.
2) Oldboy - disturbing
3) Broken flowers - shite end to a shite film
4) Event horizon - again disturbing
5) Return of the king - as mentioned above, why the fuck did it drag on for so fucking long?
