(i was in crappy bungalow pre-fabs in the first two)
but this came up in google images so it shall suffice:http://tinyurl.com/a8utr8
It's now been knocked down and looks like this. http://peterborough.project-info.co.uk/bouygues/peterborough/the_voyager_school/page/gallery?page=2 (You can see it best in the bottom right) It's pretty horrible.
but here are their very interesting websites...
It was knocked down (for the best) and is being redeveloped into a big new fancier state-of-the-art superschool. There are no pix of it online either (for the best).
how very posh :)
birchanger primary school
newport free grammar school
hills road sixth form college
ahh the good times spent playing cards in the basement...
i think they did lots of building work and changed the quadrangle after i left
(i did eng lit/history/politics/film). a new science block at the back got built in 04 i think it was, then a big corridor of tutor offices leading off the quad. basement got trendily refurbished too!
i did a film studies thing for the enrichment programme...
Some of my friends there hated it because they thought it was just an exam factory, but i really liked it. It was such a relief to be out of my horrible school and in a place where I was surrounded by nice and interesting people.
And my girlfriend goes to NFGS!
Crazy coincidences man!
Did you know some of pink floyd went to hills when it used to be a boys' school?
NFGS was alright. Jamie Oliver came back to film one of his progammes in the canteen when i was there, but i was on study leave, i was pretty annoyed at the time!
My kingergarten/first grade school doesn't have any photos of the campus online, just pictures of smarmy looking kids raising their hands in class. And I don't know the names of the first couple of schools I went to in Birmingham/Solihull when we moved to the UK. The school I spent time in in the village we settled in isn't even in Google, let alone has a website, which is really strange.
But then I went to here from years four to six (incredibly expensive private school which is as pretentious as it sounds): http://www.thorpehouse.bucks.sch.uk/index.html (the pictures are all really small, but it's basically an old converted victorian manor)
Then I went here years 7 to 13 (prestigious grammar school, equally pretentious, in another converted victorian building): http://www.challoners.com/ - http://www.amersham.org.uk/PICTURES/chall.jpg
And I lived about exuidistant from both.
(Hang on, you used to live in Farnham Common to, right?)
I mean equidistant*.
but i went to college here:
12 buildings and 4 courts, why am i smug about this?
I like the website / mission statement
"We recognise the unique presence of Christ in each individual.
We provide a secure and supportive environment where the gifts of all are nurtured, enabling us to live a fully human life, reaching out to the wider community in loving care and respect, inspired by the wisdom of Christ's teaching.
Our Lady's is first and foremost a Catholic school. We aim to lead the children to Christ through their experience of prayer and religious education. There is more to our school than just the church, however. There is no such thing as a good Catholic school that is not a good school anyway. We aim always to ensure that children achieve high standards in their academic work, that they understand their responsibilities to the community, and that they feel fulfilled, worthwhile and happy."
Read: "We have a deprived catchment area. Face it, they're never going to be anything special. So we'll just sit them on mats and make them recite the rosary every day."
http://www.farncombe.surrey.sch.uk/imgs/school.jpg this is the only picture I could find, I wonder if they still have the beehive I found and my dad made a cabinet for
no pictures of my middle school
secondary school: http://www.broadwater.surrey.sch.uk/Header.jpg this picture doesnt do justice to how ghetto it was
They were doing loads of building work at the time.
I couldn't find a picture of my primary school, it was called Oriel in Hanworth, Middlesex.
we rock this joint just for fun.
http://tinyurl.com/9t4222 (I can see my house in that photo too)
1st secondary school: http://tinyurl.com/72k9ph
2nd secondary school: http://tinyurl.com/8bk8zf where we had to go to the Cathedral at beginning and end of term. Check our 6th form uniforms
GOWNS AND EVERYTHING.
and they seem to have destroyed all photographic evidence of it...
My Primary School : http://www.ea.e-renfrew.sch.uk/robslee/images/schoolentrance.gif
My High School : http://www.ea.e-renfrew.sch.uk/woodfarm/images/AerialWoodfarm4.bmp
Notes: My high school had that massive shiny bit at the front built AFTER i left, so the school had temporary buildings to the tp left and right that don't appear in the photo and it was a total dump. It is pretty awesome now though.
i didn't go to woodfarm. i think i was meant to though. either that or hillpark. ick.
secondary (literally across the road):

i once went into homerton to look at a model of a giant bacterium. It was disappointing.
Designed by the Bauhaus architect Walter Gropius in 1939, I believe.
I briefly considered going outside and taking photos, it would have taken 10 minutes or so to do all three, 27 and I still live within meters of where I went to school, quite the lack of progress
