I saw 'Che' today

malick [Edit] [Delete] 18:36, 2 January '09

He was walking down the street. God I'm funny.

The film was pretty good, not great, just pretty good. Del Toro is very understated, the narrative is non-linear, and the dialogue doesn't make many concessions to the audience. It comes thick and fast, and to be honest I didn't manage to follow everything that was said. The running time is long and kinda challenging, but works for the kind of film Soderbergh was making.

Basically it's an un-sensationalistic account of the beginning of the guerilla campaign, sober and understated but worthwhile watch. It also sets things up nicely for part 2.
