of who it might be? Probably is just David Morrissey, imagine if it was David Bowie, that would be immense casting.
Just to be PC
as he's never been a woman over several regens before so why would he become one now. I'm sure that's paper talk.
Of all the names put forward I suspect Paterson Joseph is the most likely - its never been a big name before and I doubt it will be now.
Richard Coyle would be my casting.
that's like so PC. you'd think they were half the population or summat ffs
though i really doubt it will be.
it's not that i dislike dr who, it's just nothing makes me want to take time out of my day to watch it.
He was rumoured a few months ago to be interested in the role/the producers interested in him taking on the role so perhaps it'll happen...
Hes seem a little too dark for mainstream bbc 1 output, but it would be an awesome casting.
I sense some actor Ive never paid any attention to, and once was on casualty will get it though.
Would be brilliant!
not sure why really, it's just a bit shit really, but then so are some of the TV programs that I like.
Everybody likes him. Don't they?
i couldn't watch it again, it'd be too funny
i hope it's not someone whose already been in, for a start that wouldn't make much sense for the continuity of the show
it'd just be stephen fry bumbling around space, not dr.who - hugh laurie on the other hand (not that he would ever do it)
as we know he really is quite clever. not sure how he'd do the action scenes but at worst it'd be funny as fuck.
i've heard it'll be james nesbitt.
i think chris addison would do it well. he's manic and clever and probably about the right age for it, and not a bad actor.
Seriously, someone told me it was going to be her...!
Graham Norton 2-1
Fearne Cotton 3-1
Shane McGowan 5-2
Jeremy Clarkson 3-1
Boris Johnson 5-2
Frankie Boyle evens
you should see dundee on a saturday night
he can't do that AND run london can he?
He likes all that sci-fi stuff.
...that it's going to be Chris Barrie.
that would make me watch....all the others are crap
-suggested on this thread
Can't believe I just thought of that, he's perfect, everyone else can fuck right off!
a) It's never a famous name cast
b) Most of the suggestions in the media are famous people named because they remind people o pevious Dr Whos.
c) The only two exceptions to this are the two black actors.
d) Of those Paterson Joseph was mentioned first.
e) If you're considering potential black actors Chiwetel Ejiofor is, as pretty much the most respected black adult male acotr in the country, bound to come up in speculation.
f) thus Paterson Joseph is the only non-obvious person being speculated and you'd assume those speculating know something.
g) Unless its an utterly leftfield choice.
I vote Stephen Fry, might make it interesting
but I'm sure its Matt Smith.
so that bloke from the history boys or the ruby in the smoke guy
more they lay off the love arcs
Doctor Who born in 1982. Jeeeesuz, I'm getting old.
i reckon Jack Davenport or Richard Coyle
THIS WILL NOT DO.
i think it's the deep set eyes.
he looks like a dinosaur
in this role, i was a cockernee
and he doesn't look like he's going to make me one. Quelle surprise they get a Dr who will appeal to the 'yoof'. It's the Curious Case of Dr Who......start with William Hartnell and get younger and younger. Is the Doctor going to be played by a baby in 20 years time? Now, I'd watch THAT.
he just looks like a wanker.
It seems to be the mark of a tit.
I wonder if he'll get a decent slosh-pot
i'd have liked to see Moffat right some more for Tennant but this'll be a good point to change the tone of things
Steven Moffat knows what he's doing.
wears a cardigan because he thinks it attracts girls. That's a lot of wrong.
