on iTunes or audible if anyone is interested. New Years Eve just got (marginally) better.
However, I'm staying in feeling rubbish tonight. So in my eyes £1.95 is only a tiny fraction of what I might have spent had I gone out. It's almost like I'm GAINING money. I'm keeping optimistic.
Im getting it.
The Life Aquatic (which I haven't seen), the Ricky Gervais podcast (which I haven't heard) and MPP (which I'm enjoying). Plus some Kopparberg and Kettle Chips. It might actually be an OK night.
Ricky Gervais podcast (which I haven't heard)
MPP (which I'm enjoying)
However, snacks and drinks will differ - Im thinking something along the lines of leftover madras and ice cream floats.
Someone help out a thick person.
so i can't get anything that requires money to listen too :(
Same price and that.
still nothing to top the first entry into karl's holiday diary
along with a brilliant invention by Karl
I have given myself a self imposed year-long break from the RSK Radio shows, but I think I can stretch to the podcasts.
"None of this now needed, baby dead" - first series, first episode.
Podfather, Episode 2
When he is talking about his Dad sawing a mattress in half. Anyone else think the Podcasts are the best thing Gervais has done? the Office and Extras (to a lesser extent) are brilliant, but I've had much more enjoyment/laughs with the Podcasts.
I've listened to these podcasts 10x more than I've watched the office/extras.
I got that new Karl Pilkington book for Christmas, it doesn't work as well as listening to him say it aloud but its still pretty good.
I first started listening last year when I went to Australia. They got me through many a jetlagged, sleepless night. The little bombombmobombom thing between chapters always reminds of lying in hostels trying to sleep. For a while I HAD to listen to the voice of Karl Pilkington otherwise I couldn't sleep. Bit weird...
I've relistened to all the series', the xfm radio shows, the guardian ones, and the nme radio test thing in the last couple of weeks.
Karl's voice IS quite soothing, its quite deep and quiet. Ricky's laugh ruins the podcast's soothing effects though.
worth checking out? Ricky's laugh is probably one of the funniest things about it. When Karl says something funny, it makes it ten times more funny when Ricky laughs!
I got them all from here
there's a lot to download. It can't all be gold, can it? I'll have a look though, thanks.
All gold. Hold Cold.
Old Cold Belly Badness.
'stop looking and the walls. Look out the window'.
Also love the bit when he's confused about 'Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones' and says it should be 'Those who live in a glass house have to answer the door" instead.
'is that the best drawing a man you can do?'
no I haven't seen it - he mentioned meeting him in his new book though
I saw the one where he met Will Self
-where can I find this/
I really enjoyed the last slice of Dilkington I heard.
It was up on Torrents sites a few weeks ago.
really I thought it only came out yesterday I doubt anyone was leaking it. Was it maybe the taster things Gervais put up?
Gervais said it would be online before NYE but they were advertising it as such anyway.
cheers for the heads up, my sis has an itunes and audiable account so I cant be arsed getin my own just for this.
Much better than the last ones, they seemed to have lost the spark and were just rambling nonsense and shouting at Karl. Focusing on one topic is definitely a much better approach. Can't wait for the next one.
Thanks to everyone who has already bought the new audiobook, Medicine.
Now that's out around the world we'll put out a free sample of the next one, Natural History, tomorrow. You'll have to wait till Jan 21st for the whole thing.
We recorded the third in the series today. The Arts. Karl said something during the recording that made me fall off my chair. It may be one of the funniest things I have ever heard. I can't explain it but it involves a war poet. I'll say no more.
Anyway, thank you all again. Have a great new year.
worst animal ever
you have to get the XFM shows, they're absolutely brilliant, plus 90 more Pilkington appearances. They never get old
Oh, and if anyone hasn't heard the pre-Pilkington pre-Capital XFM shows with just Gerv and Smerch you can find them here:
