every time the game is tied in the 80th minute no matter who it's playing as
(this is my default initial response to any FM problems)
and i don't think it's them 'learning' how to get round my defense because it used to happen when i played a completely different system in a previous season. i won't mind it if happened occasionally (like when boro had that great uefa cup run) but every second game just kills the realism that i enjoy in most other aspects of the game
i used to play 2-3-5.
4-2-4 is my starting formation. Purely to shake things up a bit, because I'd become disgusted with how defensive my team was. Results so far, with Newcastle...
Reading (H) 4-2
Sunderland (A) 1-1
Cardiff (A) 2-1 (League Cup 3rd round)
West Ham (H) 0-0.
but now only one of my strikers has scored in the league (we're in november) and N'Zogbia and Geremi aren't the FA Cup winning goal machines they magically transformed into during the second half of 09/10
I came tied 2nd (3rd on goal difference) with Man City then gave up because despite having probably the best team in the world assembled for the new season, everyone wanted to move to a "bigger club" and there was a complete lack of squad harmony. Even Richard Dunne wanted to go.
I'm now playing as Arsenal and have a 100% record 9 league games in. Lets hope nothing annoying happens that makes me want to quit after one season.
I've noticed the 4-2-4 thing too. It's fun though - just switch to it yourself, and switch to "watch full game" for the last 5 minutes, it's really exciting.
My record against them was a 3-0 win and a 2-2 draw, that should count for more surely, like in International qualifiers. No?
