going to church
repeat the last one till bed
Aside from the exchanging of season's greetings and a few more phonecalls...
I don't want to go home and I'm not getting any presents.
I'll probably get drunk and play loud music all day.
get told how lame i am for bring the one that isnt massively hung over.
eat bacon sandwiches.
play mini snooker
how did you do that f?
have pate on toast
go to church
watch christmas cartoons
play with presents
frantically prepare food and flat for arrival of girlfriend's family.
wake up (hope I dont have that dreaded christmas hangover, that could potentially spoil the whole day) open presents - see what sister and brother have - eat chocolate - chat to family preparing lunch - and watch cartoons
be bored until lunch. Go for improving walk after lunch. Be bored for rest of holiday.
wake rest of family up (also essential, is something goes wrong here, Christmas is ruined)
wait ages and ages
creep downstairs whispering to each other 'has he been? has he been?' d'ya think he's been?'
open lounge door - OH YES HE'S BEEN, HE'S BEEN ALL RIGHT
open presents gratefully
compare presents with sister
arrange presents neatly
stare at them for ages and ages
get ready to go to aunties - preferably in a new Christmas outfit
Open stocking pressies, go downstairs, put somebody's Christmas CD on, eat scrambled eggs and smoked salmon while drinking champagne/buck's fizz. Open a littley present at the table. Continue to destroy wrapping paper until the fun stops and we have to tidy it all up. I imagine I'll be in charge of cooking the eggs this year. I scrambled SEVENTEEN eggs yesterday morning. They were delicious. EAT YOUR HEART OUT NIGELLA, I AM A DOMESTIC GODDESS.
until it is no longer the morning. seeing as the previous evening will involve large amounts of alcohol and drugs. and i will likely not get to bed until about 6am.
just in time for my mum's fried champagne breakfast. Then it's off to the pub in the early afternoon whilst the turkey's in the oven. First drink's free for regulars (at least it was last year) and I'm definitely a regular. (H)
