The Brand/Ross/Andrew Sachs incident.
Alexandra Burke covering 'Hallelujah'.
he did sod all
from last week. Which compared him to the devil incarnate. Think it was in the Indy.
It was overblown, but given that it was a shit PMQs that week, what else could you expect.
no-one's ever mixed up their words in a sentence before. It's not like he used the word 'world' later in the sentence at all.
The meaning behind the term is pretty clear (in every case that I've seen it used on here): a story that's been plumped up for the purposes of the news provider, whether it be to fill space on a slow day or paint someone/something in a bad light.
On a technical level it doesn't make much sense, sure; as the kind of stories that it usually refers to are in fact closer to 'stories' than most others.
of a typical news-consumer? I think that's plenty enough to allow someone on here to decide what's news and what isn't.
More than that, it's a way of pointing out where something appears to veer so far from the principle of 'objective reporting' that it's gone into the realms of fairytale. With inflammatory and possibly dangerous results, at that.
that says banks are likely to just demand you pay off your whole mortgage in one go or they will repossess your house.
Good bit of pre-Christmas scare mongering.
that might just be cos i'm in a better mood tho and the items are a bit more jovial. come january if he has to "interview" any teenagers tho...
Numpty Bill Turnbull, Wheezy Carol Kirkland and that sport monkey are all terrible when compared to their Friday counterparts, plus you get the lovely Susannah Reid.
Barry to Liverpool, Olegrich to Man City etc.
It was a Dunne deal.
that that was far and away the most generation defining news item that happened this year.
Was going to link Brainlove's Vote for the REAL Hallelujah And Rock the Music System To Its Core Because Its Like Simon Cowell Is A Bad Man Or Something, but it looks like it's been deleted. For shame.
All those people* going and buying a song to show Cowell what's what, but actually putting more money straight in his pocket! I love it!
*significantly less people than bought Alexandra's version
He'll be rolling in his grave etc etc
Leonard Cohen is laughing all the way to the bank.
So he is absolutely cleaning up
ha ha ha Good one 'Buy Buckley' supporters. You REALLY showed him.
He got well and truly showed. He won't be able to show his face in public in a long time; mainly due the weight he'll put on over Christmas from eating gold
still think Jeff Buckley wrote it.
<3 Simon Cowell
He has a show where he creates an act based on the public's rating of them, where each week they sing the songs of one of the artists on his record label. Inspired!
There was a piece in the news this morning that said he's earning something like £10,000 a day at the moment. Good work guys!
Cohen, Buckley and Burke's versions all charted.
was a similar age for me.
then a few years after i realised what i'm missing out on - i always know too few of the songs when in a club.
now i don't mind.
