£5,000 mistletoe reward (The Times legal notices-centric)
Anyone been following this item ("No")? Check out p.83 of todays edition of The Times. This is printed in the legal notices section:
"MISTLETOE-OAK TREE £5000 reward! This is my fourth and final request. Not one sensible reply yet. There must be ONE person in the UK who has an oak tree bearing mistletoe berries. Please, please contact me. I will pay more if necessary and I only want about 50 - 80 berries. Please contact Nefer11111@aol.com"
Some interesting things raised by this heartfelt plea. Sadly the first thing that I noticed is that this person is still rocking an AOL email address. I'm guessing they've had it since roughly 1996. Also, I've been watching this notice progress recently, and their exasperation with the lack of people checking their land and their oak trees for mistletoe berries has grown steadily. Lol at "Not one single sensible reply yet" too, I'm sure people could send some more to add to the collection (not that I'm in any way advocating that sort of anti-social behaviour).
Any DiSsers got an oak tree? Worth sending the groundsman out to have scout round the estate?
